Storms River is a small village in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It is located in the Garden Route, TSITSIKAMMA and is the ideal base to enjoy to the Tsitsikamma National Park, Bloukrans Bungy Jump, Tree Top Canopy Tours, Zipline Waterfall Tours, the Elephant Sanctuary, Birds of Eden. Only a short drive east of Plettenberg Bay and Knysna, Storms River has plenty to offer visitors – it is synonymous with everything adventurous and daring, from mild or wild, Stormsriver has an adventure in store for all. Stormsriver Village is on the doorstep of the beautiful conservation area of Tsitsikamma National Park, home to Storms River Tubing, hiking, mountain biking and nature trails which will satisfy any nature lover's passion for the outdoors. A wide variety of fauna and flora flourish in this fertile area, a bird-watchers paradise. Storms River mouth is spanned by a suspension bridge, offering breathtaking views over rocks and coves and crashing waves. The bridge leads to a lookout point from which sweeping views over the forests and the warm, Indian Ocean are hard to ignore with its regular visitors which include dolphins and whales. STORMS RIVER TUBING ITINERARY · Safety and River Briefing at Dijembe Backpackers (07h30 - 08h00) · Suit up and receive river tubing equipment · Scenic 4x4 Forest Drive to the River Tubing Starting Point (08h30) · Set off on the Storms River Tubing Adventure · Energy Picnic at 1/2 Way Point - Refreshments and Energy Bars (10h30) · Picked up at Exit Point and shuttled back to Dijembe Backpackers (12h00) · Lunch at Dijembe Backpackers - South African Braai (BBQ) Salads and Freshly Baked Bread (12h30) (includes Fruit Juice and there are vegetarian lunch options) WHAT TO BRING · Sun block · Closed Waterproof Shoes or Sandles · Swimming Clothing SAFETY & REQUIREMENTS Storms River Tubing strictly adheres to all SANParks criteria, safety guidelines, and APA standards. All participants will be given a full safety and activity briefing prior. Safety floatation vests, helmets and closed laced shoes are to be worn. Storms River Tubing have aligned themselves the quality emergency medical services of ER24, to ensure that our high standards of safety, back up and support are never compromised.
