Horse & Carriage Wine Tasting – 1.5hrs Franschhoek
Slow down and take a step back in time with a traditional horse drawn carriage wine tasting ride through the historic Vrede en Lust Wine Estate just outside Franschhoek.
The age-old tradition of riding in a horse & carriage is a unique, yet dying art and truly something to experience first hand.
Sit back, relax, breath in the fresh Franschhoek air, while the hypnotic clip-clop of the horses hooves on the ground and the gentle sway of the carriage makes you forget about any stress or worries.
This is the ideal activity for everyone in the family to enjoy, from the very young (not the wine!) to the most senior passengers.
Our magestic Percheron stallions will transport us through the breathtaking panoramas of Vrede en Lust wine farm while you sip on a selection of award winning wines made on the estate.
This 1 and a half hour Horse and Carriage Wine Tasting departs from the parking area in front of the Bistro daily and includes 6 of the estate’s wines.
Truly a memorable experience in one of the Cape’s most famous winemaking areas.
