Breede River Rafting Worcester
River rafting on the Breede River is only 90 minutes from Cape Town near Worcester.
Here the Breede river winds its way through the winelands below the Langeberg Mountains.
The day starts at camp where we have a quick cup of tea/coffee and get something to eat. After fitting life jackets get transported to the start point and set off after a safety briefing.
Enjoy a relaxing paddle through this picturesque landscape where fast flowing channels and deltas of Palmiet reeds interchange with long dark pools and willowed banks.
The Breede River Valley is the largest wine producing area in the country and the river winds its way through the vineyards making for a relaxing day out in the country. The river here consists of stretches of flat water and flowing channels through the reed islands.
There are no demanding rapids, which makes it the perfect trip for all skill levels. We use inflatable 2 person ‘crocs’ for this trip – they are stable and easy to paddle and make the perfect tanning and swimming platform.
Lunch is a healthy and tasty spread served picnic style on the banks and the day ends in the late afternoon with a glass of local wine and some snacks.
This trip can be run as a half or full day adventure or even extended to one, two or more nights.
Trips are available in summer from October to April. Closed between Dec 24 and Jan 02.
