This enchanting wine excursion begins with a short tour of Stellenbosch, an architectural jewel that serves as the historic heart of the country’s wine region. A gracious blend of 18-century Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian buildings is evident as we stroll down Dorp Street. We then head for one of the nearby wine estates for the start of our wine tasting sessions.

The Stellenbosch winelands, only 20 minutes away from the city of Cape Town, offer superb scenery which is completely different to the landscape of the Cape Peninsula. Numerous grapes are grown in the region including Chenin Blanc, Shiraz, Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon. The town of Stellenbosch is a small but very vibrant town with a famous university and numerous activities such a wine cellar tours and tastings. You will have the opportunity to purchase wines to bring back home to enjoy the region’s wonderful vintages after your visit.
