Description
Kayaking Hout Bay
Kayaking in Hout Bay is a great way to get active and experience one of the best panoramas Cape Town has to offer. This open ended kayaking adventure will take you out from Hout Bay harbour and into the bay while visiting some of the interesting places on the route.
On this kayak tour you will explore one of Cape Town’s most iconic shorelines. You can look forward to seeing the seal sanctuary in Hout Bay harbour, amazing marine life in the bay and the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive from the sea. Our professional guides will also give you a bit of historical background on the development of Hout Bay as well as show you some of the landmarks from the water. Another highlight of this trip is the tour of the blue room, a secret tunnel under the harbour wall accessible on lower tides, which is truly magical.
Some of the marine life that you might encounter while kayaking are Seals, African penguins, Dolphins, Whales and Sunfish.
